The words 'stroller' and 'pram' are frequently used synonymously by numerous parents. Although both serve the purpose of transporting infants and toddlers, there are certain distinctions that set them apart.

What is a Pram?

 “A device designed for transporting an infant, featuring a small bed mounted on a frame with four wheels.” This type of stroller offers complete recline functionality to promote healthy breathing and support the growth of both lung capacity and spinal alignment. As such, prams are ideal for newborns and infants who have not yet mastered sitting up independently.

What is a Stroller?

A baby stroller can be defined as “a wheeled, typically foldable seating device designed to transport small children.” It is intended for toddlers and young kids who are capable of sitting up independently; therefore, standard strollers are not appropriate for infants. Moreover, most strollers are lightweight, easy to navigate, and can be collapsed for storage or transport. They also feature a harness and safety belt for added security.
