The Pokano Dark Den is well suited to children who have sensory processing disorder, auditory processing disorder or are on the spectrum – as it offers a calming space with reduced sensory stimulation.
We love that the Pokano Dark Den can be made completely dark or lightened to suit (by opening the windows). Add in your favourite sensory items such as weighted blanket, lighting, noise reduction earmuffs, fidgets and calming music.
We also love that the fabric "breathes" and it doesn't get too hot inside. Unlike the similar silver material versions. The fabric is also washable, allowing you to clean up after a mess has been made.
Assembly required. It is a pretty "tight" fit (which ensure the dark dens stands and stays firm) so you might need two people.

Please note: The zippers on the Pokano Dark Den are NOT commercial/heavy duty. You need to be really careful to hold the fabric straight when using the zippers. They do tend to break with a lot of handling. There is NO guarantee or warranty given on the zippers.
That said, we continue to stock the dark dens because despite the zippers they are the best of their type available. We recommend you use silicone spray regularly on the zippers.
